Killing Aura, are a Indie Rock/ Punk band from Nottingham, England. Compromised of life long friends; Chris Gordon (Vocals & Guitar),Ben Lanckham (Bass) & Danny Gage (Drums). 

The new single ‘No Escape’ is about knowing someone’s true colours, but no one else does. They manipulate you into doing what they want and you feel so taken in by them that you have to keep it a secret, because no one will believe what they’re really like.

1. For someone that is yet to discover Killing Aura in 5 words how would you describe yourself.

Full of energy and belief 

2. What inspired you as an artist?

Other bands such as Oasis and Nirvana 

3. What is your process for preparing to perform live? Do you have any Diva demands?

Our process is quite simple, we rehearse well to keep tight and we really enjoy the experience.

4. Where do you feel you fit into the music landscape?

I feel that we have our own genre, we aren’t quite punk or rock, but maybe somewhere in between. 

5: What are your favourite musical genres, and are there any you dislike?    

We all love different types of music, some of our favourite bands are Nirvana, Slipknot and Oasis.

6.  What’s currently in the pipeline for 2024?

We plan to release regular singles and do as many concerts as possible.

7 What would you say is your greatest strength as an Artist?

Our greatest strength is our hunger for success. 

8. What would you say is your greatest weakness as an Artist?

 I can’t think of any weaknesses

9. What can fans expect from your new single ‘No Escape,”

Fans can expect a fresh sounding tune full of energy, with an element of surprise. 

10. What music artiest would you say have influenced your work?

Nirvana have been a big influence on our music, however we do not sound like them.

 11. Who would you most like to collaborate with artistically?

12. What was your worst performance?

Southampton Summer 2022

13: What was the most difficult obstacle you have ever faced and how did you overcome it?

A string snapping mid song on stage, but I carried on with 5 strings, I didn’t let it affect my performance.

14: What is your creative process when making music. Do you work with others or is there just you?

A song may start with a riff, bass line or beat, and we work from that, whereas sometimes an entire song can come out of nowhere, it’s a very enjoyable process

15 Where do you see your musical career in 10 years?

Headlining the San Siro.
