Amplify Her is a UK-based organisation dedicated to supporting women in the music industry through engaging events. In 2025, Amplify Her hosted a showcase tour in three major UK cities to highlight the talents of female artists while fostering a community where women can thrive and advance their musical careers. ASBO was lucky enough to attend the Brighton leg of the tour, held at the Hope and Ruin. The celebration of women in the arts was a beautiful experience, as reviewed below:
Tia Ice
An exciting young UK talent, Neo-soul storyteller Tia Ice feels the music within her. Putting on a show for her audience, she draws people into her life by using movement, sound and soul. Her vocals are soft, rich, and enchanting. Her powerful words come from her vulnerability within her lyrics, intertwined with spoken word that she reads from a personal journal. Follow her journey as she no doubt thrives, and see her busking around Brighton!

Mookie
Dressed in a glistening robe, vocal powerhouse Mookie commands the room. Described as Ethereal Folk Americana rock, her sound is unique, and her energy is like Stevie Nicks. The audience was mesmerised, it was hard to stop and take photos as you wanted to be there, in the moment, with her. On stage, she mentions a heart-warming friendship with Tia, saying “If she (Tia) was the only one here at this gig I’d feel like I’ve made it”

Adriana Lord
Adriana Lord, an Afro-Latin singer, songwriter and poet, stunned the audience with her gorgeous music and poetry. She started with a sound bath, before enchanting the audience with sounds from around the world, in different places and times. Audiences watched in awe as her voice filled the room with healing, hope, and promise.

Amplify Her was established in January 2023 by Andrea Dee following the success of its live events. The organisation curates a diverse range of experiences, from live music showcases and songwriting camps to speed networking sessions, coffee mornings, and cocktail meetups. The aim is to foster a safe and supportive environment where artists and industry professionals can connect, collaborate, and champion one another. Find out about upcoming events here.
