Demi Lovato blows the crowd away with O2 Performance

On Monday night the regular ASBO crew joined the audience at London's O2 Arena to catch pop singer Demi Lovato's Tell Me You Love Tour. The American songstress was originally meant to play London's O2 Arena earlier this month however due to vocal issues was forced to cancel that original date and played Monday instead and after Monday's show it was evident why because she brought all the vocals, talent and more to the stage.

Demi's performance consisted of energy, raw and powerful vocals, visuals that were on point, dancers that really tied the show together and a good setlist. The show which went by quite quickly had Demi really show herself as a vocalist. Her setlist included tracks from her latest album, Tell Me You Love Me as well her previously released material and really showed Demi as an around performer.

The show highlighted Demi's singing ability as well as showing her performance skills with a mixture of an all our energy and high performing dance crew which normally one observe as being secondary to the show. However, Demi's dancers really added to her performances and added a second element to the show. That combined with visual that had a narrative throughout the show gave the crowd a deeper understanding of the current state of Demi as a person as well as give an insight to her an artist.

Having previously been familar of Demi Lovato from Disney Channel it has become very evident how Demi has since transform not only as an artist but also as performer. She has been very transparent with her issues over the past years which have included her battles with drug and alcohol addiction. With this transparancy she has had over her life this has also come through her performance and everything she brings out as a performer and as an artist.

The show flowed very well and had its moments starting with the high energy tracks You Don't Do It For Me Anymore, Cool For The Summer and Daddy Issues. The shows evolved and had various moments that saw Demi in various outfit changes as well as playing an acoustic set on a bed, and also take to the piano for a more intimate part of the show. However, she did also come through with those dance filled tracks and brought moments to the shows including her tracks with UK DJ and opening act Jax Jones and British group Clean Bandit.

In terms of the setlist, Demi did not disappoint her fans as she played a good variety of tracks as part of her setlist.  Including her fan favourites such as Heart Attack, Give Your Heart A Break and Confident. Of course, tracks from the new album made the cut with Demi treating fans to songs from the album such as Cry Baby, Lonely, Games Concentrate, and her, of course, her hit Sorry Not Sorry.

Demi also treated fans to a beautiful piano performance and spoke to the love and support of her fans before playing her song Warrior as well a raw and emotional performance of her brand new single Sober.

Demi really showed how far she has come since she first started her career almost a decade ago. Having never actually performed in the UK as a solo artist aside from supporting artists such as Enrique Iglesias and The Jonas Brothers and various standalone solo dates. She spoke about her love for the UK and how much she appreciates the love and support of her fans and being able to play the O2 and bring her show to her UK fans that have been showing love to her from a distance for a long time.

As is evident with a lot of performers and the love they give to the fans you can see how with everything that Demi has been through that she really appreciates and treasures the support from her fans and so it was evidently a special moment for the singer.

The show really captured the moment that Demi is currently as an artist as well as personally as she has become more confident in herself as a person and has been open with everything that she has experienced. Her latest single Sober revealed that after a long and public 6-year journey of sobriety she has had a moment where she relapsed as has mentioned in the lyrics of the song.

However with all her ongoing battles and journey through life takes her it is evident that her fans will always be there for her and stand strong with her. The atmosphere of the show really captured that love and support that her fans have for her with many coming to the rescheduled show and really showing their support for Demi.

As someone who has a long road ahead of her. Demi definitely proved that even through all her trials and tribulations that she will always power through and make it through whatever she is going through and will always find a way to make music that is raw and true to herself as well as to her fans.

The Tell Me You Love Me Tour continues in the UK untill June 29th before heading back stateside to the US and Latin America later in the summer and Autumn and I'm sure we will see Demi return to the UK in the UK and bring another poweful show.
