Swedish House DJ Avicci found dead
Music has lost another talent after it was reported yesterday that 28 year old Swedish DJ Tim Bergling better known by his stage name Avicii was found dead in Oman.
The DJ well known for his songs 'Wake Me Up' Levels, and most recently, Lonely Together with Rita Ora announced plans to retire from touring in 2016 due to the health issues however at this time no cause of death has been determined.
The house DJ last release was his EP Avīci (01) in 2017 which included "Without You" featuring Sandro Cavazza) and "Lonely Together" with Rita Ora was nominated for a Billboard music award for top electronic album just days before his death.
The DJ started his career when he won a production competition held by Pete Tong in 2008 before going on to achieve 11 billion streams on Spotify and was the first EDM DJ to stage a worldwide arena tour. Nominated for two Grammy Awards he had nine UK top 10 singles, including two number ones.
As well as working with the likes of Aloe Blacc and Rita Ora, Avicii collaborated with artists including Madonna and Coldplay.
