The precocious American alt-rock duo Skating Polly are ready to unleash a brand new three-track EP, 'New Trick', on the El Camino Media imprint on the 28th of April. Led by the emphatic, Hole/Babes in Toyland-inflected 'Louder In Outer Space', the release will look to build upon the momentum generated by last year's critically lauded fourth album, 'The Big Fit', a break-out record that inspired Nina Gordon and Louise Post from the newly reformed Veruca Salt to produce the new tracks with Brad Wood.

'Pretective Boy' featured on NPR's 'Best Songs of 2016' round-up and now the Oklahoma City stepsisters Kelly Mayo and Peyton Bighorse have enlisted brother Kurtis Mayo to flesh out their raw, punk and grunge-flecked sound on drums. Skating Polly continue to meld sweetly melodic hooks with uncompromising, corruscating riffs and subtle loud/quiet dynamics on an EP that looks set to cross over to a wider audience.

The ominous, Nirvana-like 'Hail Mary' is accompanied by an equally powerful, Dave Smith-directed video below:
