On Thursday, November 30th, Leeds band Shadowlark took to London crowds to play a show supporting Welsh singer, Besty.

Taking to the stage as the first of two opening acts, Shadowlark set the vibes for the rest of the show. The group is formed from lead singer, Ellen Smith, alongside drummer James Warrender and keys, Chris Quic, and has vibes that remind me of a young Fleetwood Mac. Nothing shy of synergy, their synth-pop vibes were out in full force.

The atmosphere of their set went up and down in terms of what they gave to the audience, kicking off with their track 'Control Me'. Ellen and her crew brought a really good stage presence, in terms of the flow of their set and building up the crowd. They also brought cool semi-acoustic vibes, but brought back the energy with 'Bleed Me Dry', ending the set with their newest single, ‘See Each Other’.

Overall, the Leeds band exceeded expectations with good stage presence and an accessible sound that will get you hooked. ASBO will certainly be keeping an eye on Shadowlark, and looking towards what 2018 brings to the group.
