Review: Astrid S @ Heaven (October 10th, 2017)
Since releasing her debut self-titled EP last year, Norwegian singer Astrid S has been expanding her reach with each release and has since gone on to release two EPs via Universal and is slowly making waves across the globe.
After releasing her second EP Party’s Over earlier this year, Astrid S embarked on her first world tour that has taken her across the US and Europe and of course, London was part of that.
Astrid took the stage at Heaven last night to a crowd of enthusiastic fans. Spanning tracks from Party’s Over as well as her debut, Astrid brought a show that was full of energy and had a certain ambience to it. Her set list was very much a different range of tracks and feels for the audience ranging from her groovy pop tracks including tracks such as Bloodstream, Does She Know, Breathe, and her latest single Think Before I Talk and floor-filler tracks Jump and Such A Boy.
For a brief moment of the night, Astrid also cut a section of her set to showcase her voice through some acoustic performances of Mexico and Paper Thin, ending the night with her debut single and crowd favourite, Hurts So Good.
Overall Astrid brought a really show and certainly proved her vocal abilities to be on point along with her storytelling lyrics - the audience couldn’t stop singing along to her songs. Accompanied with a two man band Astrid really brought through her singing abilities and proved to be an artist to definitely look out. While she still has a month left of the tour, we can't wait to catch Astrid on her next UK tour and see what she brings next.
