ASBO Live: Pink Sweat$
After what has felt like a decade since the last show we last live show we attended last month we broke out the camera and make our way to The Lexington to experience US artist Pink Sweat$ play a vibey chilled show.
The first track that inroduced us to Pink Sweat$ was his 2018 song Honesty and from that moment we just had to know more. With the release of two EPs Volume 1 and Volume 2 which total in 11 tracks so far we were hooked. The vibes and ease of his music is something that can instantly hooks you, with similar esque vibes to Khalid his just seems to take it in a more soulful direction.
And it was this that came across when we gathered at The Lexington, the space itsself rather small and cosy seemed like the right venue to experience the chilled nature of his music. No matter where you were standing in the room you could capture the vibes and really feel it.
Sweat$ who was on stage for just under an hour really connected with his fans giving them moments to join him on stage as well as, giving two the chance to sing on the mic, not to mention a serenading moment to a lucky one in the front row.
The set list of the show whilst quiet chill didn’t feel like it was a slow vibe even though much of his songs have that relaxed vibe. But rather showcased his vocal ability with moments of acapella and holding notes that really showed his talent.
Songs from his EPS were on display including the crowd favourites Coke and Henny Part 2, Cocaine, No Replacing You, Drama, Body Aint Mine to name a few.
Overall the show was everything we thought it would be and a night well spent out
