Women Connect back with Mental Health Event
Following two successful events from the female lead initiative Women Connect are back with a third event tackling Mental Health to take place on September 25th.
The event which will center around the stigma of mental health in the creative industries will include a panel by employees and creatives from around the UK music scene. As well as, addressing issues such as funding and financial literacy for creatives, advice on maintaining a healthy work-life balance and how to progress in your career despite industry politics and saturation.
The event will also see performances from up- and-coming artist, Arcadie Poet, and a performance from budding rapper, Che Lingo.
Previous events from the initiative have included their inaugural International Women’s Day event and its follow up which was dedicated to tackling Period Poverty around the world.
As an initiative it is refreshing to see a bunch of young women in the creative space coming together in bringing others together to empower and create spaces for other women to connect and explore topics and issues that may have previously been unspoken off.
