It’s another week and another new music Friday which brings around the new tunes that we are loving and looking forward to.hearing. Our top three picks of the week are below.

Kelly Rowland - Crown

It had been a minute since we had heard from Kelly Rowland after the release of her 2016 album and the birth of her son Kelly somewhat took a break on music and put her focus on other things.

Following the release of her single Kelly last year we were very excited for the return of Kelly and now her latest single Crown is another tune that we will be jamming too for a while. Her new single Crown speak to the celebration of hair. Like Solange’s Don’t touch My Hair we reckon that this song will be an anthem of celebration that we will blaring all over the place.

The video also released today and in partnership with Dove features 6 young girls as they speak about their hair and certain issues that they have faced around it as well an all around celebration featuring Kelly herself celebrating all different types and styles of hair.

It is no surprise that here at ASBO we have always been a fan of Mahalia ever since we first saw the songstress perfrom at Apropunk in 2017 we have been hooked. We have had the chance to see perform at various shows release a number of singles and now she is back with another brand new single.

After wrapping up 2018 with the release of her EP Seasons Mahalia is back and is ready for 2019! In what we are hoping is the year that we finally getting a full length album. Mahalia is bringing back her R&B vibes with her new track Do Not Disburb. After announcing her biggest show which will see her playing the O2 Academy in Shepard’s Bush in April we are very much excited for everything she has planned untill then.

Along with the new song Mahalia also released a music video that goes with the song.

Breaking up the female talent that we are enjoying this week. We have to shutout Mulllally who released his new single Think About You today. We first came across Mullally when he played a showcase at the Hoxton and since then we have kept an eye on the young singer.

His voice which is a blend of R&B/Soul with a bit of pop is very much a different sound from what we hear on the radio and his new single Think About You is once again showing off those vibes, the essence of the song which speaks of a lost love, we have been loving the song ever since we first heard it.

2019 seems like it is going to be a good year for Mullally who has previously released a number of singles which have been very well received and show what we can expect from him.and if this song is anything to go off on then we are very excited to see what else he has coming this year.
