ASBO Artists To Watch 2019

It is safe to say that 2018 has been a very busy year. As it comes to ends and we reflect back on everything that has happened over the past year we can’t help but feel like we are ready for 2019! This year the ASBO music team has been introduced to many new artists from a variety of genres and we compiled 4 artists to watch come 2019.

Bryn is an 18 year old Croydon singersongwriter and rapper,. Somewhat a triple threat. She can not only go hard in on 16 bars before switching it up to powerful R&B vocals.

Over the course of 2018 Bryn has slowly but surely building her mark in the music game. She not only released her mixtape 99 Mixtape but also released a string of singles including her track Drunk & Wavey'  which was her ground-breaking U.K./ U.S. female collaboration with critically acclaimed stateside rapper Dreezy. As well as, the tracks'QueenPin', ‘Bailiffs’ and debut ‘Pull Up’, featuring other hot collabs with London MC's Suspect and Yung Fume.

Set to continue this in 2019 Bryn is set to take her show on the road as well as the continued released of singles to come leading up to her debut album to be released in Autumn 2019. If you haven’t yet then definitely be sure to check Bryn out on Spotify and get to know her.

AJ Tracey

Over the past couple of years the name AJ Tracey has becoming one that we have become more and more familiar with. This past year alone has seen the rise of the 24 year old rapper’s presence in the UK Grime scene. After the release of a string of singles as well as an EP Secure The Bag!  his track Mimi as well as the summer single Butterfly which features Not3s, LO(V/S)ER brought a buzz around his name.

As well as getting himself out there to fans all over the UK and Eurppe AJ Tracey has been performing all over Europe throughout the year and is getting ready to take things to the next level.

2019 will see AJ release his much anticipated debut album on February 8th as well as embarking on a UK tour which will see him play a show at London’s Brixton’s O2 Academy.

If this year is anything to off on then we are sure 2019 will also be a good one.

Sofi De La Torre

If you haven’t heard of the name Sofi De La Torre it might be time for you to get to know. We first came across the young Spanish born singer when she released her 2016 single Flex Your Way Back off her 2018 debut album Another.Not.Me.I’m.Done. Since then Sofi who we would classify as a alternative pop singer has been working on a follow up to that album.

The year has seen the songstress release two tracks ‘Run That Back’ featuring US rapper Rich The Kid, as well as her emotional ballad ‘Voice breaks which just 2 weeks old.

Sofi is quite an international artist and is not only building her presence on the UK but also in the US. Currently based in Los Angels by way of Munich Germany 2019 will hopefully see a follow up album to 2017’s piece of work which we are very much looking forward to hearing.

Minus Gravity

US based trio Minus Gravity made an impact on them when we met this year. After coming across the trio during London Fashion Week we got to know more about the group.

Up until now the group have been independent artist that have released an album on their own. Entering a new phase of their careers they signed with Capitol records and released their official debut single Options this year. As well making various appearances not just in the UK but also in Paris and across the US.

The group don’t only stand out as artist but also carry themselves well in their distinct personality and sense of style. Gearing up for the release of their next single in February of 2019 they are definitely worth checking out.
