When we headed down to the screening of HBK The Pequel we had no idea what we were in store for. When we reported on the short film last week. A lot of the music that was featured in the film was unreleased material and was hinted to be an upcoming project. The following day after the release of this film Yxng Bane dropped HBK The Mixtape answering those suspicions of new music to drop. A week later this past Friday he concluded his HBK tour playing London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town.

The 2,000 capacity venue was filled with Yxng Bane fans who came out in high spirits as the UK rapper played his last show on his 7 Date UK HBK tour. The show was certainly well worth the trip on a cold Friday night as Bane kept the energy going throughout the night.

Continuing the hype from the film and the newly released mixtape Bane played a show that was filled with high energy, strong production and a set that kept the energy going from the moment he took the stage at 9pm.

The set consisted of Yxng Bane’s catalogue including his material from his newest material as well as his earlier releases from his string of singles and his D Bloque combined release Any Minute Now. The setlist included his hits including Vroom, Rihanna, Fine Wine, Shape of You Remix as well as his newest material from the mixtape Needed Time, Slip N Side, Late Night and more.

The music kept the crowd going and the production very much added to the essence with the show with strong visuals and lighting that added to the essence of the show.

And following this show Bane has just announced his only London show of 2019 which will be taking place on Friday March 15th also coinciding with a HBK European Tour which will also take him across Europe throughout March. If Friday’s show was anything to go off then next years shows will certainly also be a good time for anyone who gets to experience HBK live.
