‘Bring Me Back From The Black Beyond’ is the newest single from the wonderfully experimental Erotic Secrets of Pompeii and, in true ESOP fashion, the single is a delicious mash of genres that pushes you to groove and tests your limits for the bizarre (in a good way)!

Thomas Hawtwin’s wild and far-reaching vocals guide you through a medley of guitar licks and bass grooves, all whilst a disco drum beat keeps an infectious groove going, ultimately making you feel like you’re at the quirkiest party of your life. 

I should not neglect to mention both Tom Hackwell and Sean Jones’ guitar work throughout the song, who bring a great deal of the track’s ‘weirdness’. Their off-kilter yet relentlessly catchy riffs keep you interested but do not let you know what’s coming next, adding to the impact of the song.

Overall, Bring Me Back From The Black Beyond is a brutally entertaining adventure, a wild ride through infectious grooves and wild, discordant sound, resulting in a song that will turn heads (and ears) wherever it’s played. As a result, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us!
