VIDEODROME: Talia Rae – Rocket Woman

East London singer-songwriter and the UK’s fast-rising powerhouse talent, Talia Rae, releases the official music video for new song ‘Rocket Woman’, out now via Glassnote Records. Shot in London and directed by Sarah Dattani Tucker, the visual sees Talia dream an underwater escape, breaking free from the constraints of the real world and diving deep into a realm of boundless imagination, introspection and the thrill of unknown danger. Interspersed with scenes of Talia at a coffee shop, the song’s surrealism is artfully grounded in reality.

Produced by Mike Spencer (Labrinth, Ed Sheeran, Kylie Minogue), ‘Rocket Woman’ is Talia’s second release, following her debut offering, ‘Not A Heartbreak’, which saw her burst onto the scene with the vocal prowess and confident delivery of an established household name. ‘Rocket Woman’ was unveiled as a piece of auditory cinema. With a hypnotising piano hook and Bond-esque strings, the track descends into a sonic dreamscape, where Talia transitions from careful whispers to full-belt powerhouse vocals. A fiercely empowering anthem, big drum-crash moments combine with warped space-inspired production, making ‘Rocket Woman’ feel as expansive as the cosmos itself.
